I got this email from Oscar of GRS:
"Hi.
Please see attached pictures, this is from a R8 but it is the same bedding required.
The action needs to have a full contact surface with the bedding compound to the stock so the transfer of energy is done as optimal as possible.
I would recommend a gunsmith doing this for you.
Cheers."
This needs also to be done for warranty. If the stock is not glassbedded and something happens the warranty is not valid.

Re: Glassbedding a Blaser GRS stock
If you buy from the blaser dealer it should come glassbeded right ??
Still waiting for my blaser r8 GRS 300 win mag, blaser dealer here says that the price for this rig is around 4000€, with the match fluted barrel. Is this in the price range??

You are right it is already bedded.
I think that 4000€ is a good price since the one with a .338lm barrel is 5200€ according to their price list...

Re: Glassbedding a Blaser GRS stock
Hi, new here and I am planning to have hunting in these Christmas and New Year holidays. I am just looking for the glassbedding but unable to find here in Australia. Other than this a sleeping bag and a quilt cover is enough for the two days trip?

Re: Glassbedding a Blaser GRS stock
Hi,
Trazman, Did you separate Your R8 system from stock, to see bedding? My experience is, system is only glued to stock. I made bedding to GRS stock, which was broken and than rebeded other original stock. Necessity of bedding for Blaser GRS is for thin walls of stock a other reason , GRS laminate is a little bit softer.

Re: Glassbedding a Blaser GRS stock
I bought a GRS stock from this firm http://www.will-apel.de/ along with an R8 system and bedding. Relatively cheap step towards longrange system. Nice folk from which I would buy again without hesitation.

Thumbs up for Will-Apel!
I bought my GRS in .308 Win from them 2 years ago.
