Nowadays, optical scopes have become an indispensable companion for hunters and shooters, ensuring numerous advantages over open sights of any type. For instance, the optical system provides just one image. There, the target and the laying mark are optically aligned in the same plane. That means you do not need to strain your eyes excessively, focusing three objects in the same plane, which is true for open scopes.

When it comes to bow sights there is a large market to suit the needs of all kind of hunters. Some shooters like to keep it plain and simple, others like extra features and gadgets on their bow sights. The choice also depends on the distance from the target and on the eyesight of the hunter. Therefore, bow sights differ in the amount of pins and their color as well as differ in design and characteristics. While 1 and 3 pin sights give you better sight picture, a 5 pin bow sights will give you more references for distances and are better for shooting long range.
